Hey guys I just wanted to see if anyone had an idea as to what's going on with my video cards. I have an M18x R1 that I upgraded from 580M's to 780M's without any issue. I have the modded 320.18 drivers installed and the temps of both cards at idle are anywhere from 44c to 57c and at 77c to 80c under load max usually much less. I am using EVGA Precision X for OSD but no overclock as of yet. So my issue is this. My cards show different clock speeds when in sli mode. Some times they both display 849/2500 but occasionally one will be at 771/2500 and the other at stock or the speeds will range erratically. It doesn't really effect performance but it is noticeable in some games. I flashed the Vbios to Jonhkss's custom vbios for the 780m's but it hasn't made a difference not that I really expected it to. Is it more likely that I just have a driver issue or that the games just have SLI optimization issues? The cards still run games pretty much flawlessly but on occasion they just scale back for some reason.
The games I play are:
Ultra Maxed out settings on all
League of Legends 560/800 560/800 (varies) 120 fps
Starcraft II 560/800 849/2500 (varies) 44-130 fps
Titanfall Not sure because of OSD issues with game but about 44 to 60 fps
Diablo 3 771/2500 849/2500 80-199 fps
My Specs are:
Alienware M18x R1
I7 2920 XM
16 Gigs 1600mhz
780m's SLI
330w Power Supply
I'm not sure if this is just a characteristic of these cards but I don't remember the 580m's scaling this erratically. The temps are always manageable and they don't have a power issue all in all they perform fine except they seem to want to sacrifice performance for power conservation which is not something i'm interested in. Is it the nvidia optimus 2.0 I've been hearing about? I appreciate any help anyone is willing to offer and also I have a perfectly functional Nvidia 580m that's looking for a good home if anyone knows of one. Thank you

Are the cards running the original or modded vBios now? If not you might want to re-flash both with the proper ones. I have seen something similar happening in the past after flashing the GPU -- a second flashing fixed it. Also, you may want to give K-boost a try. It's included in PrecisionX and it will lock the clocks (no throttling while gaming). Disable SLI, open PrecisionX, click on voltage, and activate K-boost for each card. Re-enable SLI and reboot. That should prevent down-clocking while gaming.

Thank you very much K-Boost took care of the problem. I really appreciate that.
