I have an M18XR2 w/ dual 680m's. I currently have two external 24" HDMI monitors, one connected to the DP and the other to the HDMI. I'm wondering if I could upgrade one of these to a 21:9 widescreen monitor, either 1440 or 1080. Do you know if the video card supports this, in SLI, even if the other monitor is on a different resolution? I play WoW and would like the extra few inches on either side for visibility in PvP and raiding. Thanks!

Aww gaming at 21:9 on ultra wide IPS monitor would be awesome. I'm using ultra wide monitor from last almost 2 years. You will get 60+ frames on WoW @ 2560x1080 with dual 680ms, even in most of games except few games. Yes 680m do support both 2560x1080 or 3440 x 1440 resolutions through miniDP. Unfortunately you'll get very low fps with high graphically demanding game @1440p.

Dual 680m should be fine for that to be honest, especially with some tweaking.

I'm using dual 880Ms to drive a 3440x1440 (LG 34 inch curved) - I see no reason why it would be incompatible. Make sure that you can push 60Hz though - I guess it should be possible through the DP, though I'm using overclocked HDMI 1.4.
