I would think they keep it and you only get the upgraded drive.

I ordered from Hidevolution and they upgraded to another SSD brand. I did not get the stock HDD. Btw how long have you been waiting for your system?

It's kinda scamish. A lot of places in multiple industries do it. Basically they buy the SSD for say $300 sell it to you for $400 which is fine, but then they keep your HDD that was already built into the price. So really they're getting an extra $50 in profit off something you paid for. When you buy a new car and say you want upgraded 18" rims vs the 16" ones the 16" inch rims/tires are already figured into the price but they charge you full price for the 18" rims/tires you want and they made the profit off the new rims and got to keep the old ones you're going to pay for. Like I said it's kind of questionable unless they say they're keeping your original HDD and giving you like $25 off your SSD.
