    If there's a light behind me when using the web cam, i get a blue flickering on my video, very annoying will a driver update fix this?

    I had this problem too but somehow I fixed it... this is what I did:

    installed msn > double clicked on a user > click on video call drop down menu > setup audio and video devices > hit next > webcam settings > uncheck "white balance"

    Dunno if you have to install msn but thats how I got the webcam settings.

    So, any word on where this webcam driver is? It's not on Dell's driver page nor on the CD...

    it is on a 'Dell resource Media' DVD printed in red in the package. I got 4 discs in total.
    The driver is part of Creative webcam bloatware :D

    If your webcam isn't working, you may be another unfortunate soul to have a non-functioning. I was on with tech support for about an hour before they determined my webcam and microphone weren't working properly. A tech is supposed to call me this week to set up a fixie session :)

    https://smartsource.dell.com/ site didn't work. It gave me an error message after it started examining my machine. "Error
    An Application error has occurred. Please contact customer support if this problem persists."
    How do i go about getting the webcam software now? I checked my resource DVD and it didnt have any webcam related applications. Also where do i get the OEM roxio software? My m14x only came with it pre-installed and no disc for it.

    That is the only place you can download the Creative Webcam software. Although you received an error, I'd try again or do what the message stated - contact customer support.
