So I know I might be just over thinking this but I am waiting for my M14x R2, and Nvidia just released the 700M series, how long it takes Alienware to adopt the new HW which I will assume it will, is this a matter of months or should i just return my order and wait ?

It probably won't be put into the M14x platform until Q2 2013 when haswell is also released. This would be in the June-July time frame I believe. Up to you if you want to wait that long.

Thanks, well I do not think I will be capable enough to return my system, it is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Unless this is something that will get adopted right away I think I will keep it.

750m won't be as a big a jump as the 650m was from the 555m so you should be fine. Congrats on the new system and hope you like it. :)

Yup, the 750m only has higher turbo boost, meaning you can easily match the 750m with an overclocked 650m. Enjoy the new notebook OP! Let us know how you like it, I think I may be getting one as a backup soon.

been thinking of getting one for on the go, but with the big plus of haswell around the corner and even longer battery life I keep second guessing myself. :(

I just got it and love it, it is an awesome machine for sure, one question is with the optimus technology when i run a game do it automatically selects the best card or do I have to configure it on the NVIDIA panel.

and sorry for the question i am sure i can find the answer in the forum.

Flawed logic there. Default or overclocked, the gt750m will be faster than the old tech gt 650m because default vs default or oc vs oc comparisons only.

I think I agree with everyone in this post, I had the system for a day and I am amazed, I was running an dell XPS with a 445M, now this is amazing, I am sure the gt750m will be faster than the 650m , but for now the system rocks.

The 750m is just going to be a higher clocked 650m/660m. Sure its going to be faster, but not by a significant amount like the jump from the 555m to the 650m. ;)
