Hi! I just changed the thermal paste on my cpu and gpu. This was the first time, so I used this tutorial video on youtube, that was great. But a couple of things came to mind, that wasn't explained in the video.

After I took off the keyboard and the front cover (with the mousepad). the Top of the motherboard is reveals. One thing here was that that little board that sitts next to the MOSFET battery, that you just clip on to the motherboard. On mine there was a radio card, wifi and bt if I'm not mistaking. but in this video he didn't have that? is that because I have the killer wifi thing?

Also there was a cable going from a connection point at the lower right corner of the MB that wasn't connected to anything in the other end? Tried to see in the video, but he didn't mention it, although he also had this cable attached. He removed all other cables and showed in detail how, but this was left out?

Do anyone know what this cable is for? My laptop works great, so can't think of anything it can be. It seems to run down under where the hdd sits.

I had that too. I believe it was the Bluetooth cable, as it's uneeded (bluetooth is integrated on the wifi card)

You're right! Found this pic in the service manual. And since the BT and wifi are integrated on the same card, I guess they just left it there. Would think they wouldn't ship it that way, but I guess it's better to have to many then too few.

    Cheers mate!
