honestly the TB affects these laptops in many different ways, some differing a lot more than others in temps (many of these laptops have throttling due to overheating caused by TB, mine doesn't as far as i know)... but nice setup :D!! and thanks for posting

One of the advantage to have the TB turn on is the speed on getting stuff done faster for e.g if it is On then most of the everyday usage such as web browsing, file transfer or virus scanning will be temporary boost up or auto Overclocking but for in game performance it is no change, however the major disadvantage to that is the heat, for doing everyday usage, it will not be affect because the Turbo Boost will only be use if there are process/problem running on the background.

So during gameplay because of the game is constantly running thus making the Turbo Boost to be use at all time until you exit the game, so then the heat will be generating all the time making the laptop prone to overheat quicker than having the TB off. For me I have it off, because I believe the i7 is fast enough to do those everyday usage.

idk if you guys know but UncleWebb created ThrottleStop which will let you control a lot of options including TB without even touching your bios... and let you limit/unleash other cpu functions as well.
