    hi guys, my screen is wavey its really odd you can rly notice it on light colours but not white it sort of looks like waves on the screen any ideas? and its not static ive done static reset etc

    you wont see it in a picture think of it like when you see a computer screen through a camera (waves going from bottom to top) only alot less noticable but just enough to annoy you

    Sounds like your screen refresh rate is too low.Try updating the intel GPU

    hi i had a little play and it only does it on balanced mode not on high performance so presuming its limiting display somewhat to save power?

    Your system works with the Nvidia Optimus Technology ( click here for more information) and yes, that technology switches graphics cards depending on what the system requires basically to save power. So for example, if you are using only Microsoft Word, the system does not need a lot of graphics power so it's going to switch to the integrated graphics, but if you want to play a game, then you do need a lot more graphics and so the system will switch back to the discrete (Nvidia) graphics card.
