I am a canadian college student.

    I have two questions.

First, why can't i personalize my nameplate on alienware.ca? is it available only in US?

Second, i saw many people here got some discounts more or less. i am wondering how to get it? must i talk to the rep on phone? order m14x online then call the rep for discount OR directly order m14x on phone? i am not quite familiar with these stuff. anyone would help? thanks

    hey
i am a Canadian and i recently got mine too. and i am a student
so first of for the nameplate, i asked them and they said they will have it customized for me .
secondly, call by phone (best thing you will do). i got the m14x thats 1299, they were willing to give me 2% disscount cuz im a student. but i made some random bull up how i wanted the x-box with it, but only the 1499 model has it. and how thats over my budget. so they gave me a greater disccount on the 1299 one. also be niced to them
hope that helped, if you have any question let me know.

thanks very much. you have replied me in another thread that you posted :)

i heard the "call by phone" and i am sad about it :( im not a native english speaker so im afraid i could not finish the conversation well..

only the 1499 model has the xbox? even sadder... my budget is more limit and i meant to take the 1099 one..

things got more complicated. i hate it...

i really recond doing the upgrade on the core i7. which is 100$ extra, but than if your going to do that you might as well get the 1299 and haggle it down it 1199.

Do you know anyone who is better at English, the Dell rep doesn't really know you so as long as a buddy or family member has your info it shouldn't matter.

hey aurnab, i sent my config to Reflexnotebook.ca. i dont know what it is, an agent? anyway, he gave me a better conf, i5 upgraded to i7 2630 and ram upgraded to 4GB 1600MHz with the same price and even plus tax. i meant to take the core i7 but stocked by the price. now it seems i got a better deal. :D

I would like to buy it from reflexnotebook.ca. However, my father thought the website is unreliable. I am upset again. :(

Email the notebookreview user nactownag at his [email protected]. I just ordered an m14x through him(he works at Dell) for college and he has been such a great help, answering my questions and giving me a great discount and warranty. Think total I saved over $500...I lost count haha. My friend is currently ordering another m14x from him. Good luck :)
