    if hw monitor can see the gtx555 it means that my card does not get disabled right? how can i fix it?
    is that why my battery doesnt last that much?

    If you want to know whether or not the nvidia card is in use, go to the nvidia control panel (right clicking desktop), then click on desktop within the program, and enable the gpu activity icon. It will appear in notification area. Click it to find out whats in use.
