    Hi everybody,

    I am new here but I've seen the quality information on this forum regarding alienware system. I have a M14X R1 with the following specs;
    i7-2820QM
    8GB RAM
    GT555M 3GB
    500GB HD

    i've noticed that the M14X R2 has new hard drive options such as the 500GB 7200RPM + 64GB mSATA boot drive. My question is, could I buy an mSATA like this one OCZ 60GB Nocti mSATA SSD - Solid State Drive - NOC-MSATA-60G - Scan.co.uk
    and install it myself to use it as a boot drive?

    Thank you very much.

    I don't think the r1 has the compatible slot that the r2 does for the msata slot. :( I have been out of the loop for a week or two though, so I could easily be wrong.
