All of a sudden, I cannot use my laptop.

It does not detect the battery (I checked the battery cable, it's secure)

When plugged in, it turns on, but shortly afterwards it randomly shuts off (And no, the plug isn't being moved. I can even turn it right back on again after it goes down)

Any ideas as to what happened? This JUST happened.

Are there any "beeps" when you turn it on? Or it just doesn't pass the post boot?

A similar thing happened to my first m14x. In my case the motherboard died. Any luck getting a repairman?

No, it doesn't even boot up.

If it is plugged in, it boots up for a bit, but very shortly afterwards (usually once I get around to the icons loading up), it shuts off again.

Called support, they said to send it in and they'll get it back to me. Hopefully its fixable.

i would try to get someone to come out to the house. they totally suck at shipping and repair. It is most likely that you will get the system back a week later and it will be as if they didn't open the package.

Well now I tried turning it on (plugged in) to see if I could back up my HDD and it beeps at me

EDIT: Nevermind, I just didn't put the RAM back in properly (the tech person made me do all this random crap)
