    Hello!

I don't know why but my m14x keeps being slow in scrolling down websites. Specially those with images, it's so strange that it even feels that I am not even using the nvidia card. But I have it on, my nvidia control panels says it is using it. I also tried to change the resolution.

Websites like 9gag get so slow in scrolling down, it feels like 1 frame per second reload everytime I go down. It's that laggy feeling when you scroll down that it is usually seen in old computers or computers without a good graphic card.

And this is not normal, since it so noticeable, it's incredibly slow to scroll down that it gets stuck if you try to go scroll down through so many images.

Does anyone know why is this happening and how to solve it?

what browser and what Video card drivers are you using? Another thing to note is that the gt 555m cannot be turned on manually. It only turns on when you play games and stuff. ;)

    GT555M 295.51 driver, chrome

Yeah that's what I noticed, because I can play games fine.

But how am i supposed to run these kind of websites?

I cant even surf 9gag with all this lag.

sounds like an igpu issue. I'd try installing the drivers for those and seeing what happens. Some new ones where just released not long ago. You can find the download page here: Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator Driver

I installed it and it is still slow.

It is funny because I tried running BF3 so my nvidia would turn ON, then while being in it, I opened 9gag and it ran smoothly.

Is there a way I can solve this?

Have you tried reinstalling chrome or using firefox to see if chrome is the issue?

The GT555M is a dedicate GPU and it is not meant to be use as a primary card, your problem is likely either your CPU is being throttling by other background program or because of the iGPU, btw what version of Chrome are you using? I mean it is the stable Chrome 17 or the Beta Chrome 18? Me I also use Chrome but I use the Beta Chrome 18. And have you try other browser say Firefox or Safari?

Try browse the web again when you first start the computer and at the same time open Task Manager, to see if there's any background program interference.
