While gaming my laptop suddenly stopped charging. My charger still lights up and shows proper Voltage. I went to a person who repairs laptops and he checked everything and said he has to fix/replace the pin. Says it'll cost 20 bucks.

Do you guys think that's the problem? IS the price fair? How do you guys think this happened?? I was running on overclocked settings (been for a few days now) at 700, 1500, 1000. Temp hardly hit 80. HELP!

Because I'm in a country where my warranty will not shift from America. My country doesnt support the m14x so I gotta pay for crap like this even with 340 days on my warranty!

Sadly it wasn't the pin. The guy dissembled everything and turns out the fault was a burn EMP chip or some name like that on the motherboard. He replaced it, cost me about 25 bucks. Glad it was repairable.

I really think this happened cause of overclocking. What sucks is that I hardly raised the values...maybe a bit to 700,1500 and 1000. Temp was mainly in the 70s. Do you guys think overclocking caused this? Oh and he didnt change the pin just the burned chip.

its very possible that overclocking can be the cause....70C is not red alert temp but is still pretty high....which country are you in??

I live in Pakistan, it gets hot here. I was playing starcraft 2 maxed out settings with OC on....temp never exceeded 79C.

The EMP chip on the motherboard got burned. I wonder what that was about. Would really like to know why it happened so I can prevent it from happening again. Anyway I havent been overclocking.
