I don't know how much RAM you need but 6GB fits my needs fine I run 1-2 VM's, visual studio sometimes and play games and never run out of RAM.

I put an SSD in place of the original drive and moved the original drive to the optical drive myself, installing the SSD yourself will save you hundreds of dollars and it's not very hard at all.

I also upgraded the wireless myself which was easy and saved me money, I got a better wireless card and the card I purchased had bluetooth and it cost me $22. Well Dell charges $20 just to add bluetooth.

Im not sure what I really need, to be honest. I do know that I want (hopefully) to get similar performance to my desktop. Its an aurora with 8gigs ram, 930 i7, sli 460's and a velociraptor with a crucial 32gb for windows. By looking at specs, it looks possible w/ an msata drive for o.s. And a standard drive for storage.
