    hey guys.. i was wondering if any SSD will fit in the m14x r1 or is there a specific size?? What are the size restrictions? thanks :) looking to buy an SSD asap :p

    2.5" drive.

    This might be too much detail lol , as long its 2.5" it will work fine.

    can i ask where you got that image and if theres a higher res image as the measurements are a bit hard to read :(

    It will fit , but I'm not sure about the performance , $99 for

    Up to 550MB/s
    Max Sequential Write
    Up to 515MB/s
    4KB Random Write
    Up to 90,000 IOPS

    Seem worth it.

    haha we shall see when it comes in :) will do some benchmarking just for the heck of it to get sata 3 speeds working hopefully. Is bios A05 compatible with sata 3 speeds? or was it A03?

    it was A05 , I believe.

    Looking forward for the benchmark :) I might consider it if it has good boot time , my c300 can't perform well on m14x , it gets around 14-15sec , but on my m18x only 9sec , still can't figure it out why.
