    Did you ran Windows update.

You did a fresh install right?

Look at devicemanager if there is something missing.

Well I'm not sure what you did but fresh install should be something like this:

    -boot from Win. 7 disc.
    -choose new install.
-remove all partitions and format C: drive.
    -install Windows.
-install Dell drivers from resource cd except CC.
    -run Windows update.
    -Install CC.

Everything should work fine after this.

CC is command centre. Just save the save files on a usb stick I guess.

Are you sure you arent missing any drivers?

Dunno how long it will take, installing Windows about 20 min. or so. Installing all the drivers and update's another 1.5 hours or so.

Fresh install means you loose all the Dell/Alienware stuff, the disc contains a Windows 7 version without all the Dell/Alienware stuff.

Do you need those partitions? I myself deleted them immidiatly after receiving a Dell/Alienware system.

You cannot use system recovery once you formated the entire drive. So if you have some blank dvd's burn your rescue disks first just in case.
