I am also wondering the same thing. Also how can I do a clean install of windows 7 and then also keep the alienware "look and feel" after doing so. What purpose does the alienrespawn play in all this??

I have the same question. after I used alienrespawn, I can't start Realtek HD audio manager like I used to (but there is sound though), and sometimes there are problems with internet explorer.

I want to do a clean restore but keep alienware look and feel. Do we perform a clean windows 7 install, and then press F8 at system start and run alienrespawn to get alienware look and feel back including all factory programs that came with our M14X?

Or you could just use Windows Easy Transfer to save your files, settings, bookmarks and such.

click the windows orb, type easy transfer, hit enter.
