I bring mine everywhere so I would say it's quite portable (school; library; friends; travel).

    Perfect size imo :)

    +1 :D

At first I was skeptical, being used to a 15.6in laptop, but after getting my M14x I realized how much more perfect it is all around. It is extremely portable and it packs tons of power with great battery life. What more could you ask for? I took mine to class the the other night (without my charging cable) and got over 4 hours on the meter. All I did to get that was turn the screen down and turn off AlienFX. One thing I love about these machines is you can completely customize the power settings.

Yep I'd say perfect size too, not too big not too small, not too heavy when you have to move and good perfs, the only issue for me is the heat, when you play with the laptop on your legs they will burn after an hour, I hope the R2 will be cooler :D

Perfect for portability. Its slightly thicker than other systems but its SOLID. Carry it around campus+commute everyday. Wouldnt even think of a m11x in less your concerned with battery life. Four hours is about all you will get out of the m14x.

It's about the size and heft of a normal mainstream 15" laptop. Which is to say, a tad bulky but nothing you can't deal with. I have an M11x and an M14x and while my M11x is the one I take around places, I do also move the M14x between my place and my girlfriend's place twice a week, and it's not a big deal at all. :)

Mine normally stays at home however i would not find it an issue to carry around - i would take out the 1TB external drive i have in my laptop bag and 1000's of cables that i have stashed in there :p

There is a very noticeable difference coming from the M11x.
The M14x is portable but on the very maximum of what I would consider.
