Go and check you have the latest drivers of all your programs, might help to do a fresh install of windows os or any os you desire and go to the dell website and download all the latest bios and all the latest drivers, bsod could be caused by dirt being in your fans so if you have a vacuum or an air compressor blow out all the dirt from in the fans, if you're experienced with laptops then i suggest you do a re-paste on your gpu and your cpu.

If it still continues to happen, get your laptop sent away (Do not ask for on site technicians as they are really dogey, my mate had his fixed on site and the tech didn't know how to do anything! he pretty much did it for him, he only rang them so he didn't void his warrenty)

    goodluck!

I had very similar problems with mine for a while after doing a clean install of windows and using the driver disc that came with the computer. I messed around with it for weeks trying to fix the problem but ultimately had it shipped to the dell repair depot to get a new motherboard. I spend a good 10 hours on the phone with dell over 3-4 days trying to convince them to take the laptop in for repairs, and once I finally convinced them to fix it it only took 3 bussiness days for them to return it to me in perfect working order. Give dell a call. If they refuse to fix it, hang up and try again until you get someone on the phone who is sympathetic to your situation.

Take it from a former tech, DONT have a tech do it. Send it in for anything major.

Some people have asked WHY I say this, and here is my reason:

Think about how many laptops Alienware sells vs Dell Business Class. Most techs are dispatched for Business class laptops all day long, so they never even SEE an alienware maybe once a month?? So is that the guy you want fixing it? No, send it to Dell, they'll give it to the guy who fixes Alienwares ALL DAY LONG. You get much better quality of work :)

ofcourse most of the onsite techs are total noobs but i prefer them cuz i can keep an eye on what they are doing. i have read many posts about many users having their units mishandled at dell depot.

When a tech comes at my place, i watch whatever he does with detail and make sure he does it slow and easy. i wont mind extra 20 minutes if it gets job well done.

But i will never send it to some place where a guy works like machine and tosses my notebook around and putting scratches on it.
