couldnt help but power it on to check it out before i went to sleep... rewarded with a green line through the screen about 25% of the way across from the left from top to bottom. I switched 3d settings to nvidia gpu and during shutdown I noticed on a few screens it dissapeared while it was shutting down.

Does this sound like a GPU issue? Ill be calling dell tomorrow.. sigh..

it could possibly be the video card, as I looked online several people referred to the cause as being the video card. I believe in the M14x its soldered on, so I don't you could do anything with that. Best bet to call dell if it is the vid card.

    Using my m11x.

Get this screen every few minutes when browsing the web. Always happens as I click a site to open .. It pauses and crashes.

    Lol ..

Okay so I'm installing drivers and nvidias drivers are failing because gpu is not found.. I'm assuming this is because of optimus? Anyone know how I can get the gpu to show/run?

You need to install the Intel gpu drives first, followed by the nvidia drivers.
