    I think the 1st is better because it have a lifetime warranty and supports XMP, maybe it's just an upgraded version of the second link, because they have the same frequency, the same CAS latency and the same voltage.

    no, really, i don't know..but i went with the X one since it was same price :) they look awesome.

    okay, and you have no problems with the blue one at 1600 mhz?

    also i wonder why the black one is more expensive, albeit not by much :p

    last time i checked it was running at 1329 mhz or something like that but i'm not sure if i measured right..not sure how to do it. i just got what CPU-Z said it was running at and multiplied by two, so not sure.

    hmmm it should be running at 1600, no? can anyone else shed light on this? i just dont wanna get the wrong ram, i wanna get 1600mhz if im paying for it.

    If you go to the Kingston website and go to manufacturer:
    Kingston Technology Company - Memory Search - Modelsinfo

    and click on the 8G HyperX version, the website links you to the black version. I think the blue one is just the older version. I don't know if there are really any architectural difference, but the grey one does say 2nd Gen i5 i7 plug and play.

    Yes, the blue one is the older version, that's all. As for the actual speeds, should work @1600 with your CPU.
