    hi i have been lurking around the board for the past week and hope to get your opinions on the acidental damage and 3yr hardware support on whether they are worth the extra money

    Depends your location really.
    In UK, buying extra 3 yr support is only £179 (that is 4yr in total). Deffo worth the money if you are going to abuse the disco light and not switching it off 24/7

    About accidental, I am not sure. I have never dropped an ipod or mobile phone or computer in my entire life. And I doubt something like traffic accident is included in the plan. Anyway, my home and personal belonging insurance will take care of it.

    the acidental is mostly because i got a toddler running around. and when i looked on the website it was a extra 340 not sure if i can save that much by september unless i get it on fiance, anyone kwow what that is like? thank you for the reply by the way

    Unless you put the laptop on the corner of a wiggly table, I would think you'd be fine..it's a pretty sturdy machine IMO
