The AW 14 does have an option to upgrade to a 1080p IPS screen. The regular screen is not IPS.

A lot of the sales representatives are "low level" people with little knowledge of specific details. They're supposed to know these details, but a lot of them obviously don't. Your best option is to ask multiple people, at least three. I've called in to confirm things like heat sink pipes, etc. It took four phone calls to finally get a technician willing to take apart a system and check for me, which was very nice of him to do, by the way. He went out of his way and opened up a system getting repaired with similar specifications as mine to answer my question. I was very grateful for that.

It has the option to upgrade as specified above. J.Dre I'm glad you got somebody who could do that for you :)

In case you were wondering, the 14" 1080P IPS screen is great. It has very minimal ghosting and IPS glow, 2 common problems with cheaper IPS panels.

Not sure, but I don't see why it would not be an option. The Alienware 14 has the GPU embedded.
