    alienware / dell 'cooling off period' uk?

    i'm thinking of buying an Alienware 14 and wonder if anyone know what the returns policy is if once delivered to me, i decide that the machine is not suitable for my purpose?

    Within the US you have 14 days to return it for full refund without any restocking fee. I think its 10 days in the UK; but as with anything else, within a few days they will still take it back if you make enough noise.

    thanks have just been on to dell uk chat and got this back

    'You must contact Customer Service within 7 working days of delivery. Unless the product is defective or the return is a direct result of a Dell error, a return charge will be applied up to 20£ excl. VAT'

    which definately helps!

    the reason i'm unsure if the alienware 14 will be suitable is purely the screen size. just not sure if the text size will be large enough for me on a 14". currently got a 15.6" screen on a 6yr old inspiron (not sure what screen res it is). my current setup is as shown in the screengrab

    You can adjust the text size in windows. Should do the trick.
