I'm thinking of getting the 2 year advanced warrrnty. A question though.. if the m14x r2 comes out... And I accidentally... Run over my laptop , I send it in and it isn't fixable. Do they send me a new m14x r1 or better.... R2? Does it cover dropping it a pool, a fire ect ? And say I got a crack in the case. Would they fix cosmetics as well ? Thanks guys

Theyd probably void it as soon as you told them you ran it over. The accidental covers everything, but I believe trying to get a replacement on purpose always has a bad ending. Ive only heard of people getting upgrades if theyve had multiple non-user problems. Ex. youve had to call in 5 times to get your screen repaired from a problem that has nothing to do with you like dead pixels

im sure theyll have no sympathy when you punch your screen and ask for an r2 :p

You: Yeah i somehow accidently dropped it in the pool, then when i was going to the phone my friend cracked the screen with his fist after running it over with his car
    Dell: wat.
You: So can I get an r2?
    Dell: No
    You: Why!?

Answer if you really do have something happen out of your control, yes they will replace it with equal or better. Drops, spills haven't heard of anyone getting one from fire or being stolen or run over.

Well of course I wouldn't say it was on purpose. But I mean if it happened to fall out of my hands and down the stairs... They would cover it right ?

Yes they would if you got the accidental coverage. The only chance you're getting an R2 is if they ran out of refurb R1 models and parts.
