    Hello everybody,

I'm actually a newbie, and i'm from Asean.
I have had a plan to get Alienware M14x R2.
And one guy told me that he has a brandnew one (m14x r2) with this Configuration Options:

    3rd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3820QM Processor (2.7GHz with Turbo Boost 2.
    16GB(2x8GB) DDR3 SDRAM Memory 1600MHZ
    2 GB GDDR5 NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R)GT 650M using NVIDIA Optimus(TM) technology
    64GB mSATA MiniCard (Boot Drive) + 1TB 5400RPM 2nd Hard Drive
    14.0" (35.56 cm) WLED HD+ (900p) display (1600X900)
    Genuine Windows(R) 7 Home Premium 64bit (English)
    Intel Wireless 2230 Drivers

I checked its service tag, and here is the result:

Shipping date is 5/18/2012 and today is 8/20/2012 which is 3 months away and that means it only has 275 days of warranty. So no that is not a brand new laptop but a laptop that is 3 months old. It might still be sealed in a box untouched or it might be used with body fluids, grease, fingerprints and viruses all over it.

As you can see, its shipping date is 5/18 this year - that means that it was purchased in May, so it is not absolutely brand new, but it's not too old either.

Usually refurbished machines are only last generation (i.e. if it was a R1, you should be worried that it's refurbished).

Don't worry, it should be considerable as new, but that would depend how much abuse this seller has done to it over the last three months.
