    Hey

I ordered my M14X late last night and picked the only avaible wireless upgrade.

    Order confirmation states it as:

    Code:
Wireless : Europe Intel Wireless LAN 6205 2x2 (802.11a/b/g/n) Card
So, my question is whether I can do the Wireless Display thingy-ma-jiggy?

I've seen and read quite a few different, conflicting statements and the Dell website isn't exactly helpful - their help article goes on about some proprietary system which didn't even appear as an upgrade option.

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Is not the wireless display, it's just the wireless card to connect to the internet.

You need wirelessHD, it is a separate upgrade from the wireless card (which is only for wifi) and you're right, it doesn't seem to be listed as an upgrade on the european dell website (I assume you ordered from there given your name)

Well this blows. Guess the wireless upgrade wasn't worth it after all.

What about the Intel Wireless Display thing? Is it capable of that? From what I've seen all you need is a Sandy Bridge processor but I really ain't too sure.

    Thanks for the swift replies.

It doesn't blow. The other wireless upgrade isn't worth it either. It's better to waste $20 than $300.
