    I ordered Windows 8 on my new Alienware 14. Did I make a mistake not getting Windows 8 Pro? Also, is it safe to update to 8.1 and how would I do that? Thanks a lot sorry I'm new.

    It all depends on what you are planning to do with the O.S. Here is some more info about that.

    I would recommend you to stay with Windows 8 until updates are done. It is safe, but it's better to stay away of new software until it becomes completely stable.
