Did you pick this up cheap or have you aquired it?
I dont think its a question of whether it will work, just not a peticulary quick little thing.
There are certainly better drives about, this seems to be a couple of generations old?
I'm sure it would work fine though.

Don't skimp on an SSD, it's not worth it. A cheap, fast SSD doesn't do you much good when it craps out on you 2 weeks after you install it.

This: Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 470 Series MZ-5PA064/US 2.5" 64GB SATA II Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
This: Newegg.com - Intel 320 Series SSDSA2CW080G310 2.5" 80GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) - Internal SSD

I think this is the one you're thinking about? I know the price is tempting. Newegg.com - OCZ Vertex Plus OCZSSD2-1VTXPL60G 2.5" 60GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Buy a quality SSD, it's worth it. Crucial seems to be coming along great and there are exceptions to every rule (a buddy of mine has been running a small Kingston in his Desktop for a year and half with no issues) but in general, buy what you know shouldn't give you problems which tends to be either Samsung, or Intel and Samsung is the cheaper of the two.

I just put this one in my Acer earlier today along with 8GB's of DDR3. It's a completely different machine.
Newegg.com - SAMSUNG 470 Series MZ-5PA256B/AM 2.5" 256GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) w/ Norton Ghost 15

Not the fastest thing out there, but speedy enough. I expect it to be rock solid...and a huge improvement over 90 second boot times and 30 second Firefox start times. ;)

Crucial M4 and Intel 510 are very popular amongs Alienware users.

    120/128GB at least, not smaller.
