I got my laptop late summer for my freshman year here at university. Don't get me wrong, I love the machine and it works great for what I want it to. But....
after a replacement mic/screen, speakers, and now with a screen which has somehow gathered much dust underneath the screen as well as getting a BSOD every few days as well as multiple driver failures...I don't really know what to do or tell Dell.
In case it makes a difference, I have the 2-year accidental warranty. Oh, and when running the repair/error tool on startup(sorry I can't remember what it's called at the moment, it's late) it cannot find a single error. Mind boggling.
Anyways, will Dell replace my laptop/should I ask them to? Any help would be appreciated here. Thanks.

EDIT: Oh I forgot, multiple times Windows has failed on me(before and after a fresh install) and it took my computer around an hour to find a restore point it could latch onto and reboot itself, while I lost a good bit of work.

I'm sure Dell will work with you. I had a friend play a joke on me and call Dell and told them that I wanted to return my M11x. I was getting emails left and right about RMA being approved and when I was going to drop it off. I told them about the joke and wanted to keep it. I had a supervisor email me just to veryify. Again I don't think it'll be a problem.

This is why I back everything up three times fold. Granted I do photography as a part-time job and need to make sure that I don't loose anything, but I found the Seagate Go Flex the best to back everything up on. It comes with pre-installed software that backs everything up automatically.

Thanks, I'll do that ASAP. Thanks guys :)

If anyone else has had a notebook replaced by Dell, any guess on how long the process takes? As I said I'm a student, and pretty much live on this thing.

well until now they replaced my screen, my motherboard three times and the processor once. Still no replacement (haven't asked seriously though). If I have one more problem I'm going to ask for a replacement though. So good luck with yours.

So lets NOT be fraudulent of course, just remember that you have complete care warranty. Meaning that you have a VERY strong footing to make a case to dell to have the unit replaced. You have a premium product with a premium warranty. Ask to speak to a manager until you feel this gets properly resolved. Personally, I would have pushed for a new laptop by now.

Call them up and flex that power that your hard earned money has paid for!!
