    Hi,

My alienware wifi keeps either disconnecting (after a couple of hours or sometimes right after I connect), and I need to disable then re-enable it for it to reconnect. It only happens with the 5GHZ signal. With the 2.4 Ghz signal, it merely stays connected but surfs slow, again needing a disabling and renabling.

I've unchecked the windows 8 feature to turn off the wireless to save power and also set it to high performance.

Any1 else experiencing this issue? I've also tried replacing the original. Same thing!

I have indeed! Ok so what I've noticed happens is my signal drops to like 11 mbps...but none of my other wifi devices do this. If I reset the chip it goes back to 144 or if I'm on 5ghz it's 1300 mbps. I think there is something wrong with my antennas....or it's a windows 8 thing...

Alright after disabling and re-positioning the wifi card, and re-installing both windows and the drivers numerous times I found a fix.

I changed the wifi channel and it seems to have fixed the drop. Now 5 GHZ no longer is lost, and 2.4 ghz works without drops to 5.0 Mbps. It's been stable for 1 week now :)
