    Hello all,

I purchased an alienware in Aug 2011 and since then, I have always had some or the other problem with it. First I had issues with the microphone, then got replaced with another laptop and then, the hard drive was corrupted, got that replaced too.

At least now, I thought I'll have some peace of mind and use my machine. Now, suddenly, there's this issue with audio, where there's no sound coming out of the speakers though there is full volume in the computer. Every time I have this issue, i have to restart the computer for the speakers to work. Can someone please help me resolve this issue? I have recently installed the OS from OEM CD and have all the audio drivers updated. I can see the volume in settings, but no sound; i restart then it works. Interesting part is that none of the audio players work at this point; when I restart, they work.

Does anyone have the same problem? pls help me as it is so frustrating. I am continuously having some problem with the laptop all the time. Thanks a lot in advance.
