When I go to whitelist Windows Live Movie Maker, it only gives me 'Integrated Graphics' and the drop-down menu won't work. Does anyone else have this problem, and is there a way around it? I'm tired of editing HD footage and having it stutter like crazy.

I love this computer, but I hate Optimus.

    Happy holidays!

Is that possible? I've never heard of how to do it. Guess I could Google it, but I'd rather just find a way to whitelist WLMM.

Your best bet is to use a video encoder that uses Intel's QuickSync since it should be supported by our Sandy Bridge processors. There a free option called MediaCoder - MediaCoder - more than a universal audio/video transcoder - MediaCoder official website

Otherwise, Intel lists this software as being QuickSync enabled:
    Arcsoft MediaConverter
    Arcsoft MediaImpression
    Badaboom Media Converter
    Corel Digital Studio
    CyberLink MediaEspresso
    CyberLink PowerDirector
    MainConcept
    Movavi Video Converter
    Roxio Creator

Yeah, I heard a guy from the M17x forum said that they have a some sort of BIOS mod where you can turn it off however for M14x their arent any yet.

You're not the only one who hate Optimus, in fact most M14x users hate it, and you're also not the only who cannot change that option, it seem like for some reason they lock that option, and as I said in the above quote, I hope someone who kind enough to release a no-Optimus mod for M14x.
