    Which CPU?

    It seems that the consensus on this forum (or at least what several people told me in another thread) is that the GPU is a bottleneck so it's useless to get the middle processor over the lowest one (I'm ignoring the best one because it's an obvious waste of money). But doesn't a better CPU make things run faster in general? Is there really no reason to upgrade the CPU?

    I think the consensus is that don't upgrade the processor if you expect any performance increase in video games, but for actual multi tasking and running cpu intensive programs you will see improvement
