There isn't. You can use an external keyboard and turn the Num Lock on there though.

M11x and M14x has no numpad, however the M17x and M18x does has one because of the design and for mobility reason, that goes for the older M15x as well. If you want a numpad you can either get an external numpad or a keyboard or get a M17x/M18x.

What do you need the numpad for that can't be done using the regular number keys on top?

Maybe some game need that numpad to work or something, say Need For Speed Hot Pursuit for example, it need the Num 8, 4, 6 and 2 to turn the camera around and Num 5 for centred/reset the camera, and Need For Speed World for the power up key. However those can be change in the setting, and not everyone not need that key like the OP for example.

To be fair, some laptops do have a numlock key which forces a section of the keyboard (usually 890/IOP/KL:/M) to act as a pseudo-numpad.

The fact that the m14x keyboard doesn't have that labeled should have been a pretty big hint though.

I have been given to understand that in order to use ASCII characters one has to "engage" NumLock and then hold down Alt whilst hitting relevant number key. Is there a way of using ASCII on M11x-R3?

Oops, sorry, found this thread via Google and didn't notice is was for M14x - but I presume it'll be the same for M11x.

You can use the virtual keyboard program. I use this to turn number lock on when using my Razer Naga.

-edit- Sorry, didn't see that this was a revived thread.
