    Hi guys,

Just wondering what i need to do/if i need to do anything once i replace my HDD with a Samsung 830 SSD. My OS and all programs are on my mSATA.

When i replace the HDD with the SSD do i need to install/format/set it up/change any settings or do i just put it in, turn it on and away i go? Never tried a hard drive replacement before

    Thanks in advance

Hello laz91, not really... if the OS and software is allocated in another drive then it will be just a matter of swapping. Now, If you want to run the OS from the SSD then yes; full windows reinstall.

The Samsung comes with software that tunes your system, turns off defrag and other stuff. You can install that software and run it to set up the drive. The Samsung 830 is great!
