i was recently using my m14x and i kept hearing low, humming of static noises, and found it was from the charging adapter (power brick) thing. i made sure everything was properly plugged, and there were still noises. im afraid somethings gonna blow up. any ideas?

Have you tried plugging it directly into an different wall power outlet or remove/replace an power extension cable, as they can cause buzzing on a psu.

I remember read this similar thread here in NBR, and someone suggest that the sound/noise from the power brick is actually the work of the transformer if you have own a X360, then you'll also notice a low humming sound and a low vibration of out it too, see this video here for example of the noise.

And does it still make noise? Because like I said, the larger the AC adapter is, the louder noise it will make because of the motor/transformer inside it.
