This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Webcam issue

    Hi,

    A week ago purchased new M14x (i5, gt 555m 1.5gb, bios A08). Couple of days ago realised that the webcam isn't working. Any app using webcam says webcam isn't connected or not found. Tried to reinstall the driver from the CD included, hasn't helped. In Device Manager there is no even branch called 'imaging devices', but there is an unknown usb device, which is probably my webcam. Been searching for the actual driver (not the dell webcam central thing, which I have also reinstalled) but haven't found anything.

    Anyone had same problem or knows how to fix this?
