When you replace the optical drive with an SSD, does it void the warranty?

I'm in the UK if it matters. I've looked at Dell's site and policies but it doesn't really seem to say much.

technically it only voids wherever yo swapped. i.e. screen, battery, motherboard etc are still covered

in reality, if you put it back before contacting dell, no one will ever know

I asked the tech when she was replacing my track pad, she said most of the repair technicians won't care. I asked specifically about replacing the HDD with an SDD and she recommended peeling off the stock Dell label and putting it on the new drive. Don't know exactly which label since I didn't look but should be obvious. At least here in Los Angeles repair techs are contract with Dell and works for multiple manufacturers, they are paid a flat rate per repair, they are focused just on fixing a specific problem.

I owned multiples m11x R1 R2 and now a m14x, there is never any label on easy replaceable parts like ram and hdd.
