Occassionally, I get this flicker on the m14x display where the screen goes black for a second and then returns again.

I wonder if maybe i'm pulling the power cord off the back of the unit and it causes the display to go black while it switches modes (like powersaving or something).

    Anyone else experience this problem?

I'm using the latest nVidia driver from laptopvideo2go site with the modified inf.

screen going black for a second when you pull the power cord can be due to the fact that optimus changes the display from nvidia to intelhd300. so there is a second of black screen.
plus you might upgrade your intel HD display driver form their site. It will help with any unnatural flickering.
plus you dont need drivers with modded inf anymore. get the latest nvidia driver from their website . It installs without any modded inf and works just fine.
here is the link for the latest nvidia display driver : Graphics Driver - Verde 290.36 Driver - GeForce

you DONT need any modded inf for this driver. just download and install. As easy as that :)

    Enjoy the beast named M14X

you can update yoru intel driver from here.: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect
When you go here, it will automatically detect your intel display driver and check if any update is available. If there is an update available, it will provide you with the download option for the same!
