Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum :)
I need some advises and sorry if this had been asked in the past.

I'm planning to clean install my m14x r1. Is it better to install the drivers (Intel chipset, ME, audio, card reader, etc) from dell or manufacturers (intel, realtek, atheros, etc) websites?
I had encountered some problems using the drivers from manufacturers websites after clean install (either they wont install or didnt work properly like intel HD graphic 3000). But some worked without any problems.

    Thank you.

It's better to use all the drivers from Dell. Then update graphics driver from the manufacturer. You might want to test wifi, then update wifi drivers from the manufacturer and if they work better keep them. If they work worse, uninstall all wifi drivers and install Dell wifi drivers. Do not ever use drivers on DVDs, which came with the system - they are very old. You can use webcam central and some other software from DVDs, but you can still download them from Dell support website when you create a login (only for certain software like webcam central etc).

It's better to do it over the phone if you are not sure how to do it. Usually, the only driver you update is the Video one as the rest only need updates when issues arise.
