What is the easiest way to upgrade from an alienware m14x r1 to an r2?

I thought of selling my r1 and buying an r2, but a lot of money gets lost in the middle because I have my m14x maxed. So I thought of
buying something like a chassis for an r2 and giving it all the parts like the processor, screen, ram, and hard drive of my r1, then selling the r1 motherboard.
I need to know if there is a better way to upgrade to an r2. If not, than can can these parts be moved into the r2? Thank you : )

Buy a r2, move your expensive parts to it, sell base r1.

Buy base r2 from outlet. Swap parts...

    Profit?

    It's not worth the money!
Not because the R2 is a bad machine, it has 15-20% more power for shure.
But keep in mind, that the R3 or new m15x, or whatever will be released very soon.
So your new m14xR2 will be outdated in less than a half year!

I have plenty enough RAM and the processor is never used past 30% EVER. The only reason I want to upgrade is because the m14x handles heat better and i read that the geforce gt650m operates 50% - 99% better than the gt555m...

i would say that after holding both heatsinkins in my hand, the heatsink on the R1 is a joke compared to the one on the R2 (or even compared to the M11x R1, 2 & 3). but to justify it for a different laptop i couldn't really tell you.

from what ive read (someone correct me if im wrong) the 650m is only maybe 30-40% faster than 555m.

the R2 as a whole, is with out a doubt a better laptop. (IMO not by a lot in any one specific category tho). but.... i'm not sure if it would be worth it to me personally to trade up from a R1. especially if your not currently needing the extra performance. reason i say that is if the R1 currently meets your needs but just has a few cons that bother you, i'd just wait for the next rev to upgrade.

for the record i own a R2, but i read up a lot before i bought mine because at the time i was buying R1 & R2s were available so i went with the R2.

    just trying to be helpful.

in my real-world VJ tests, the r2 is twice as powerful as my r1 was. :]

and it never goes above 65c, even when being slammed (I repasted w IC Diamond). the r1 would have been hitting high 90s and throttling.

    very different notebooks.

I still think the outlet with a coupon would be the best idea, or wait until r3. Please don't pay full price right now.

    That would not be profit.

I don't know why but I wasn't thinking clearly when I bought this (last December). The r2 came out shorly afterwords and I figured I would want the m14x becaue the 17 of 18x seemed too big. Since I use this for both gaming and game programming, I have now realized that I need a much bigger screen... I thought about switching to the m17 or m18x. All i would have to buy would be the frame($80), the monitor($140), and the motherboard, which I have seen going from $250 to $600.
