Are you just like me an owner of the m14x r1? Just 2 months later the m14x r2 came out. That made my laptop official the r1. I took a good look ad the new gadgets of the m14x r2. There is no much difference only the video card has been upgraded. And the camera quality of the r2 has slightly increased compared with the m14x r1.

So nothing to worry about so far. The new m14x r2 comes with some cool software to finally customize your game play. Its called Alien Adrenaline. I was so curious about this program when I read about it on their website. And I wanted to know if it would work on the m14x r1 as well. And it does! I like to share this program with you. Its officially not for the m14x r1. But it works 100% with the m14x r1.

Now you can finally automatically adjust your fx settings per every game. And thats not all: you can automatically open programs with it like i tunes or team speak. It is really nice and a must have for every active alien ware gamer!

Download the new command center and let me know what you think about it.

I tried it and it seems broke my alienfx firmware. Now command center wont detect alienfx device, not a single light can be changed from the box. :(

Any idea how can I fix it?

Mine installed fine, did you have it plugged in?
Did you let it reload the firmware after the reboot?

Try reinstall the original AWCC from Dell Website, then restart, if it doesnt fix then I'm afraid that you have brick your AlienFX keyboard, you'll have to call Dell for a replacement if your laptop is still under the warranty.

Same here, even though it is meant for the M14xR2 and the newer AW release, but it's seem to work for all predecessor prior to the newer release (M11xR2, M14xR1, M17xR3 & M18xR1).

Cheers for the reply. I will try reinstall both original and newer CC again later.

I guess the problem is my m14x is a first batch launch day version, the keyboard inside may be slightly different from yours (make, model etc). Anyway I have extended my warranty to 4 years so if I cannot fix it myself I will have to ring Dell for replacement KB.

Yesterday I updated the new alienware comand centre to version .08
It still included the alien ware adrenaline. I could download the program with my service tag.

So I suggest everybody to download the new command center trough logging in ad dell with your account and / or service tag number.
Look for updates and you will find them. I myself prefer for the video card an gt555m the Nvidia drivers them self rather than the dell drivers.
Especially because I play 3d with my m14x on the AW2310 Monitor.

Can you after downloading the new command center inform me if it included alien adrenaline.
I also would ask you kindly if you can tell me anything about alien sense? Its an program for facial requisitioning. I believe the m14x support this program but dell has stop including this software.

    Many thanks.
