Well, my new m14x can't run the game when is on battery, I mean, i was playing team fortress 2 and I notice that the battery was full so I disconnected the m14x, after 5 seconds the laptop turn off and I can't turn it on on battery, I have to connect the laptop in order to turn on the lap. So, someone can help me with this issue? I need to download a driver? or I have to update something.

I sent you my best regards,

    ZACK02.

PS: I was playing on max everything and on native (1600x900)
PS2: Sorry for the bad english

It could possibly be the battery itself is faulty or the connection from the motherboard to the battery is faulty. Either way call up Dell and see what they can do to help you. If all else fails and you have a warranty send it to them.

I got the a05, but it's still getting off the m14x... it can be because I'm playing with everything on max? or its motherboard issue? thanks guys.

I think that if you set your power settings to Performance it should workm but you'll get only 45-60 minutes of unplugged gaming.

after the update you should not be facing this issue.....hmmm ...cause from the a03 update onwards..it downclocks your gpu to 203mhz which is just as much power as required to run on battery without any blackouts...i might suggest that if you are still facing this issue...contact dell

I got the a05. When I was playing team fortress 2(not graphic demanding) I always got blackouts, now with the a05 I don't. However, when I ran BFBC 2 (graphic and cpu demanding) I get a blackout again :(
