    Undervolting on m14x?

    Is it possible to undervolt the CPU and/or the GPU? Could help lower temps...

    Why do you care so much about temps? It's not doing any damage.

    Because sometimes it's uncomfortably hot and lower temps could mean less fan noise.

    If you use CPU/GPU intensive programes it will be noisy and hot.

    I leave the machine idle by my pillow sleeping well everyday. The trick it to create a new power management profile, cap the max cpu frequency to 30%ish and set to passive cooling. Most times it will be dead silent by doing this

    Easy CPU under volting was removed from the Core i design.

    I thought so...that's unfortunate.

    How about the GPU though? I know it's easy on desktops, dunno if laptop GPUs are voltage locked...
