    Hello friends.
After changing the wallpaper on my M14x I am now unable to log into Windows.
I can access it via safemode but I cant change the desktop background manually.
    What can I do?

in safe mode, go to Start>all programs>accessories>system tools>system restore.

Select restore option from the next window, and select the last ( and recent) checkpoint that was made before you changed your wallpaper. and restore your system. Hopefully that will fix whatever went wrong. Frankly, i dont think changing wallpaper has to do anything with this fault and its purely coincidental but again, i can be wrong.

Let me know if this works ;)

    Hello Nauron.

Was hesitant to use system restore but all is well and the wallpaper has been restored.
Problem appears to have been mended.
    Thanks.

Just want to add some info, which is dont be afraid to use the system restore, because it is unlike reinstall Windows nor factory image reset, it is the safest thing for revert back to before you got the problem, because what system restore do is to revert back to an earlier restore point which would happen at around the time like you just before you install/uninstall programs, or make some major changes like changing stuff in Control Panel. So dont afraid to use it!

Though, I'm curious what cause you to unable to log in, because changing wallpaper generally never prevent you from log in into Windows, so did you do anything else after you change your wallpaper?

Could it have been an infected jpg file?
