    I installed ubuntu using the wubi installer but when i boot into Ubuntu ...I get a black screen ..with the right side being white with grey lines...any help would be appreciated....I have a feeling this is a display issue.

    I tried to install Ubuntu yesterday and I couldn't get anything to work at all. As soon as I selected CD/DVD from the boot menu I got a black screen with the right 1/3rd or so just like you're describing.
