    I'm not being OCD about it but I know that there are 2 USB 3.0 on the rightside of the m14x, but why is it colored black compared to other usb 3.0 notebooks where it is painted blue?

    Yeah I believe miahsoul is right, totally based on the motherboard. Im sure there's no color code standard that usb's need to abide from. It can be pink for all I care, as long as it performs like a USB 3.0 should then I'm happy :D

    from reading the manual a few weeks ago i am sure the different colour ports will provide power when the laptop is turned off. Ie to charge a usb device with requring the laptop to be powered on :)
