    Hello,

I recently bought an M14x R2 with Killer Wireless-N 1202, and because of that, I don't have either WiDi or WiHD. I would really like to have that feature, so I looked into it and found that WiHD is too expensive and I don't really need all the features it provides. I just want to stream 1080p videos to my 46" FHD TV so WiDi would suffice, especially since they'll release WiDi 3.5 soon. My question is, Can I have two built-in wireless cards on the laptop? like KillerN+Centrino to have WiDi ? because USB wireless adapters don't provide WiDi.

Sorry my Friend, I have tried this and the Custom TCP/IP stack that makes the Killer cards so kick conflicts with Intel Wifi drivers and causes BSODs. I have tried it with a 1102, 1103 and a 1202 in combination with an array of intel cards with no success. I have also tried installing the driver manually with no software package.
kinda irritates me that I held off ordering a couple days and lost the WirelessHD option. I have that in my R1 and and its sick. I also have the netgear ptv2000 which is not even close in performance running with an intel untimateN 6300. dont get me wrong, its fine for video because it syncs the delays, but there can be a good second of mouse lag so games are out.

Thanks for the replies. It sucks that I can't use two wireless cards as I wanted to keep the killer 1202 for wireless+bluetooth and get the intel 6300 for WiDi. Now I'm thinking about replacing the killer 1202 with the intel 6235 for bluetooth+wireless+WiDi and get the Netgear PTV3000. What do you think?

In my opinion WiDi is not that useful, it's not like it has an outstanding range. If you play online games the killer card makes a lot of difference, and it may not be worth it to replace it for WiDi. Anyway, it depends on what you use your computer for the most.

Thanks, for the input. I just want to watch videos on the external display so I don't mind the lag. I think I'll go with the 6235.
